With conspiratorial looks and giggles, Makayla and I hopped the fence on the top of the sand dune at Tunnel Park in Holland that June summer evening and headed over to a gorgeous spot filled with wildflowers and a lovely tree. It had been an absolutely perfect day, and a great shoot in the nooks and crannies of Downtown Holland so far before heading out to the beach.

I love that moment when, usually about halfway through a Senior Portrait photoshoot, some of the nerves have eased and my clients really start finding their groove and having fun in the session. I’d say that “somewhat illegal” fence jumping incident was Makayla’s moment.

Makayla is a senior at Zeeland West High School, with a super sweet personality and killer eyes! Linda at Faces by Linda G did a phenomenal job with her makeup, and Makayla picked out some fabulous outfits for both the trendy downtown setting as well as the fresh and casual beach location for her photoshoot. She definitely made my job easy!

Congratulations, Makayla! It was great meeting you and I hope the rest of your senior year is awesome!
